How to make a Starbucks inspired “Passion tea” drink from home
If there is one thing I would want my future partner to know about me, it would be that I LOVE Starbucks. From their vanilla sweet cream cold brew to tasty refreshers, I know that I can never go wrong with anything from Starbucks. That being said, my Starbucks obsession has lead to me spending tons of money that I simply don’t have. About two years ago, I decided that I would try to start recreating my own Starbucks drinks and while there have been a fair share of trial and error, I have also had some successes, one of which I am going to share with you today! One of my favorite cold drinks from Starbucks was their Passion Tea, but what if you could still indulge in this drink without spending $6-$8 every day? Let’s dive in and make this super simple and tasty Passion Tea from home!
Ingredients:
Water
Tazo Passion Tea Concentrate (sweetened or unsweetened)
White Granulated sugar
Ice
Directions:
Grab your cup and fill 1/4 of the way with ice
Fill the cup half way with water
Fill the other half of the cup with passion tea concentrate and stir to combine
In a small, microwave safe bowl mix 1 tablespoon water with one tablespoon sugar. You can add as much sugar as you want, as long as there is a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water
Microwave the sugar-water mixture for 1 minute until the sugar is completely dissolved. You just made Simple Syrup!
With a straw, carefully pour the simple syrup into the cup with the passion tea and water. Make sure that you stir very quickly and thoroughly because the simple syrup will try to solidify.
Enjoy!
